Right click on desktop, choose "new, shortcut"
Copy and paste the text string below into the white text area and click next,
RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll
Choose a name for the shortcut like, Remove USB & press Finish
When you double click on the new icon, you will see a new box open listing the devices plugged into your PC. Select the device you want to remove and press Stop. Ensure you have closed "my computer" and "windows explorer" windows first.
